Managing Director of Global Sales & Markets | Conductix-Wampfler
Gustavo Oberto currently serves as Managing Director of Global Sales & Markets for Conductix-Wampfler Group, a leading manufacturer of Energy & Data Management Systems. Mr. Oberto is responsible for overseeing all company sales across three regions: AMER, EMEA and APAC, for driving growth across key vertical industrial markets including Ports, Mining, Cranes, Automotive, Intralogistics, Transit and Entertainment among others.
Mr. Oberto joined Conductix-Wampfler in 1999 and has more than 25 years of experience in international business development. Prior to his current role, Mr. Oberto was Managing Director of Sales & Markets Region Americas where he led the geographic expansion into Mexico, Brazil and Latin America including setting up manufacturing capabilities in Brazil.
Prior to joining Conductix-Wampfler, Mr. Oberto worked at a global treasury payment technology company devising foreign currency hedging strategies for Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Oberto also worked as International Liaison to former Nebraska Governor Ben Nelson where he advised Midwestern companies on how to penetrate the Latin America Ag market.
Mr. Oberto is currently a member of the U.S. Commercial Service District Export Council. He served as President of Midwest International Trade Association and a member of Omaha Chamber of Commerce’ Task Advisory Group for International Business. In 2017 he was the recipient of the University of Nebraska at Omaha Distinguished Alumni Achievement Award and in 2002, the recipient of the Marketing Alumnus Award.
Mr. Oberto, grew in Cordoba, Argentina. He holds an Executive MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha (2005) and a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business from Nebraska Wesleyan University (1999). Mr. Oberto is married and with his wife Christie they have two kids, Gianluca (10) and Charlotte (9).
